Roses and laurel

Having grown both roses and laurel on from the bare root plants I got some while ago the time came to get them in the ground. Below you will see a photography of the laurel at the top of the fence line already in the ground with the roses ready to go into the pre-dug wholes which were done using the petrol auger used to do the fencing. Ok, some will think thats cheating a bit, but it made the job much easier!

It’s been a long time

Well it really has been a long time since we last put a blogpost online. So much has happened since then. The builders have been and gone. We had no roof during the wettest March on record, and now in the final throws of August, guess what…. it’s raining now.

We have spent some time and money installing new fencing. We have had some great cut flowers from our Dahlias this year. We recently went and bought a second hand greenhouse which could be fun seeing if we can build it.

Expect some updated photographs and videos of what we have been up to and what we will be doing only at www.escapedtothecountry.com
